Emma is the Chief Operating Officer and Associate Director at Hamilton Murphy Advisory.
As Chief Operating Officer, Emma is accountable for the firm’s growth, finances and executing the firm’s strategy alongside our firm’s Partners.
Emma also leads the Personal Insolvency Division at Hamilton Murphy and advises individuals on all aspects of personal insolvency including Bankruptcy, Personal Insolvency Agreements (Part X) and informal arrangements.
Emma commenced her career in Insolvency at Grant Thornton UK, working in the UK’s largest team focusing on asset tracing and recovery for global clients. Emma has knowledge of both UK and Australian insolvency law, and has considerable experience in fraud investigations, working on a number of cross border insolvency assignments.
Emma has over 14+ years’ experience at forensically analysing an insolvent parties’ affairs, having worked on a number of assignments which include asset tracing on complex matters utilising the powers under the Bankruptcy Act.
Emma has successfully initiated claims against related and unrelated parties to recover funds with respect to antecedent transactions on behalf of creditors.
Emma’s ability to analyse complex matters, develop strategies, and build relationships makes her a valued member of our firm.
