Stephen is a specialist in Corporate and Personal Insolvency. Stephen has over 30+ years’ insolvency experience including official liquidations, creditors’ voluntary liquidations, receiverships and agents for the mortgagee in possession, voluntary administrations, problem loan management, investigative accountant’s reports, pre-lending reviews, due diligence reports, turnaround and workout management and bankruptcy and Part X arrangements.
Stephen is a very hands on operator who has undertaken an extensive range of assignments for a number of years. Stephen has particular experience specialising in small to medium business turnaround management and solvency solutions.
Stephen has been a Registered Liquidator since 2005, an Official Liquidator since September 2008 and a Registered Trustee since 2008.
As a Liquidator, Stephen was ranked 1st in Victoria an 3rd nationally in Insolvency Australia’s FY2024-25 report.
Professional Highlights:
- Victoria Titans Pty Ltd: Voluntary Administration, then Deed of Company Arrangement. The company’s previous trading activity was in the sporting and recreational activities industry as it was a National Basketball League Club. The role included seeking a new owner, maintaining relationships with sponsors, liaison with the National Basketball League and importantly, endeavour to maintain the team list during the process.
- Bizwear Pty Ltd: Administration of high-profile corporate clothing importer and wholesaler. The process included dealing with overseas manufacturers, reviewing and determining numerous Retention of Title claims. Further, the process incorporated significant investigations as the company had a material misstatement in its audited financial accounts.
